By goal · Stress & Calm

A quieter room for the nervous system.

Wellness technology designed to sit quietly in the background of a wired, always-on day.

I · The problem

The nervous system doesn't switch off on command.

Work, messages, screens — and a body that stays keyed up long after the day is meant to have ended.

Zazen pairs two technologies for this: Scalar, worn or left running in a room, and a far infrared cabin for a thirty-minute session that gives the body somewhere to physically stand down.

II · How they relate to calm

A field for the room, warmth for the body.

Scalar sets the field of a room to 7.83 Hz using Zazen's own patented opposing-coil design; a far infrared session adds thirty minutes of radiant warmth and a natural shift toward rest afterwards. Used together or apart, both are designed to become part of an unwinding routine rather than another task.

Two technologies, the same underlying aim: a nervous system with room to rest.
III · What the research suggests

A measurable shift toward rest, after a session.

General sauna research has measured what happens to the body's stress response during recovery from a session:

In a controlled trial, heart-rate variability shifted toward the body’s “rest and digest” state during recovery from a sauna session, consistent with a relaxation response.1

IV · A simple routine

Give the evenings a routine.

  1. 1 Wear the I-Wear or leave a Scalar Core running during your wind-down time.
  2. 2 Add a thirty-minute far infrared session when you can — start at twenty minutes and build up.
  3. 3 Most people notice a change somewhere between two days and two weeks.
  4. 4 Three to four far infrared sessions a week is typical; daily is fine too.

VI · Questions

Before you begin.

How long until I notice a difference?

There is no fixed timeline. Most people report a noticeable adjustment somewhere between two days and two weeks of regular use.

More questions

Does Scalar block EMF?

No. Zazen Scalar does not block or shield electromagnetic fields — an EMF meter reads the same with the generator on or off. It sets the field of the room; it does not remove the signals passing through it.

How often should I use the far infrared cabin?

Three to four times a week is typical. Daily sessions are fine too, and some people notice a short adjustment period of three to five days as they settle into a routine.

Do I need to move the generator often?

No. The 300 Core and 500 Core run continuously once installed. Moving one takes two people.

Give your evenings some quiet.
